Graduation Requirements

The table below outlines the requirements for Sequoia Choice – Arizona Distance Learning's two high school diploma options.


In order to graduate in four years, students must successfully complete 5-6 courses per semester. We encourage families to review our diploma information when planning for graduation and making course selections.


Note: All high school students must demonstrate appropriate progress toward graduation to remain enrolled in Sequoia Choice – Arizona Distance Learning. For more information, please refer to our Academic Engagement Policy.


Course Requirements

  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • Algebra II
  • An advanced math class for which Algebra II is a prerequisite

Lab Science
  • 3 credits Lab Science
  • 3 college Lab Science courses which are worth 4 college credits each, include both the lecture and the lab, and meet the colleges SQ or SG or equivalent requirement
  • A combination of high school and college lab sciences equaling 3 high school credits
  • 3 credits Lab Science
  • 3 college Lab Science courses which are worth 4 college credits each, include both the lecture and the lab, and meet the colleges SQ or SG or equivalent requirement

Social Studies 3 credits, including 1 credit each of US History and World History, plus one-half credit each of Government and Economics

Some universities are now accepting CTE in place of Fine Arts. Please check your prospective school's admissions requirements.
